Wizard Of Wor 1.0 written by Markus Hof and Roman Fischer (adresses see bottom)
=================
Wizard Of Wor is the first action game I know for OS/2 Presentation Manager.
The overall idea of the game is quite easy. Shoot all ghosts to get to next
level. Every dead ghost gives you some more points as shown on information
screen. If you play in the 2 player mode, you are as well free to shoot the
other player. The goal is to collect as many points as possible.
After 3 and 12 Levels, you get an extra live. When all man are dead, you can
enter yourself, into the highscore table (if you got enough points). The
highscores will be saved, when you quit the game by pressing Alt-F4 or
choosing "Close" from the system menu.
The players are moved with the following keys:
Player 1 (Yellow):
- Cursor keys to move in the 4 directions (separate cursor block)
- 'End' to shoot ('End' on separate cursor block)
Player 2 (Blue):
- 'w', 'a', 'd' and 'x' for the four directions.
- 's' or 'Space' to shoot
In this distribution their are the following files included:
wor.doc: This is the documentation file you are just reading.
wor.exe: This is the main program.
l*.dat: These are the level files, describing the different levels.
Known problems:
1. In 2 player mode, if one player presses several buttons, and doesn't
release them, the other player is blocked. This means, his keys won't
move his player. This is probably a limitation of the keyboard processor.
Ok, that for the interesting stuff. What now comes is annoying, but has to
be and we'd appreciate if you take the next paragraph as it is written.
Thank you.
